FIELD: laser engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for controlling the process of selective laser agglomeration of a volumetric article made of powders. Method consists in registration of the surface temperature and its distribution in the region of action of a concentrated energy flow in several spectral intervals near the operating wavelength of the optical system of a scanner, and in registration of the surface image in the light radiated by a surface backlighting source. During agglomeration process it is necessary to maintain at the specified level the maximum temperature of the surface in the area of influence and the required sizes of melting zones, as well as to register images of agglomerated sections or their fragments, to compare dimensions of the agglomerated sections of a volumetric article or its fragments with the ones set by programs, to determine presence of defects in the agglomerated layer and to correct the exposure parameters and the process. In compliance with the first option, the device comprises a scanner with a lens, an optical pyrometer with a lens, a video camera with a lens and a source for illuminating the surface, as well as 2D image scanner arranged on a carriage for application and placement of powder, and a control module including two control regulators. In compliance with the second option, the device comprises a 3D image scanner located in the working chamber and a control module including two control regulators.
EFFECT: as a result, there is achieved reception of complete information on the process of selective agglomeration of a volumetric article and a possibility to control the process in real time.
