FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in forging shops of metallurgical and machine-building works for production of semi-products from aluminium alloy ingots. Ingot after homogenisation is cooled, then heated and deformed by changing cross sectional area and increasing length with formation of longitudinal deformation texture. Homogenisation is performed at temperature (310-440) °C for (1-5) hours with provision of delay of process of breakdown of supersaturated solid solution of a transition metal in aluminium. Ingot is cooled to temperature (110-125) °C. Heating for deformation is performed to temperature (270-400) °C to allow extraction of strengthening phases in form of particles, uniformly distributed in solid solution.
EFFECT: providing higher quality of finished parts.
