FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: initial round billet is made from an ingot by homogenisation at the temperature of (310-340)°C during (1-5) hours with further cooling to the temperature of (110-120)°C at the rate of at least 110°C/h. The homogenised ingot is deformed by reduction of the cross-sectional area and increase of length. The obtained workpiece is subject to bulk hot forming by extrusion through an axisymmetrical groove. The groove is formed with surfaces of a fixed mandrel and a larger step of a through-type stepped hole of a container. Forming is performed at two stages. The workpiece heated to the temperature of (270-400)°C is upset into a plate by direct extrusion at the first of the above stages. At the same time, an axial force is applied to an end face of the formed plate through the container. The part wall is extruded at the second stage. The second stage of forming is performed by heating to the temperature of (420-440)°C.
EFFECT: increasing strength of the produced parts.
