FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and downhole equipment, in particular, can be used for compensation of reactive power of submersible electric motors of electric centrifugal pump units. Submersible filter compensating device comprises a sealed housing accommodating capacitors and an automatic control system, wherein said housing is configured for connection with motor. Inputs of inductance coil are connected to inputs of bus bars, outputs of inductance coils are connected to inputs of thyristor valve modules. Outputs of thyristor valve modules are connected to inputs of capacitors, outputs of capacitors are connected to each other by a "star" circuit. To enable control of generated reactive power in housing there is a unit of automatic control system, including current transformers, three-phase voltage transformer and automatic control system, which calculates reactive power and generates a control signal for switching on thyristor valves.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of negative impact of higher harmonic components on capacitors.
