FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical devices, which are intended to increase efficiency of power consumption, in particular, to reactive power compensation devices and compensation of passive components of electric voltage and current in electric installations with inductive loads (electric motors, welding apparatus, etc.). Technical result is achieved due to that in reactive power compensation device, comprising housing, inside which there are electric capacitors with throttles, and terminals coming out of it for direct connection to supply electrical network and consumer, according to invention each electric capacitor is connected in series with throttle, forming cells of LC-circuits in form of a triangle between all terminals of device, besides, to LC cell of same circuit parallel similar connection of LC-circuit is repeatedly connected.
EFFECT: elimination of the above disadvantage, namely simplification of the design of the device, which ensures performance of the main function by compensation of reactive power at connection of consumers to networks of alternating electric current with voltage from 380 V to 10 kV with frequency 50 (60) Hz, including with parasite frequency harmonics.
