SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to a method of producing antigenic composition containing porcine oncovirus type 2 (PCV2), antigenic composition, an immunogenic composition, method of reducing symptoms caused by PCV-2 infection in an animal and a method for increasing immunogenicity of immunogenic composition. Disclosed method of producing antigenic composition involves obtaining a liquid containing PCV-2 protein. Recovery of antigen PCV-2 from viral culture by separating cell debris from expressed antigen PCV-2 with help of stages including microfiltration through a filter with pore size from approximately 0.6 mcm to approximately 2 mcm. Separation of liquid from antigen PCV-2 by replacing part of said medium with a pharmaceutically acceptable solution by adding a pharmaceutically acceptable solution to said fluid and concentrating antigen PCV-2 by separating medium and solution using a filter with average pore size to prevent passage of at least 90 % proteins with molecular weight from 50 to 500 kDa. As a result, antigen is purified to degree of purity of more than 50 wt% in terms of total content of protein.

EFFECT: disclosed method provides reduced virucidal activity of obtained composition, therefore such composition can be used in multivalent compositions.
