EFFECT: also disclosed are compositions and methods for isolation and characteristics of nucleic acids specific to one or more pathogens, including, for example, influenza virus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, from a wide range of samples, including a sample of biological origin, samples from environment, clinical and/or veterinary samples.
