OBJECTS OF VIRTUAL NETWORK INTERFACE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G06F15/16

Abstract RU 2595517 C2

FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for interfaces to manage virtual network interface objects. System comprises a processor connected with persistent computer-readable instructions of data storage medium, executable on a computer. Execution by processor of program instructions implements generation of an interface record containing an IP address and subnet identifier of first subnet, which contains first IP address in response to request of generation of interface record and storing interface record in persistent storage. Method includes providing for production of a first instance of resource traffic directed to first IP address in response to first request for attachment of interface record to first instance of resource of multiple resource instances, wherein first resource instance is in execution state after loading. Another resource instance is executed to obtain traffic directed to first IP address in response to other request for attachment of interface record to another resource instance of multiple resource instances.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of process of controlling network settings using interface records as control level for resource instances running on computers with hardware network cards.
