FIELD: cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to cosmetic industry, specifically to a thickener based on polyglycerol, which includes one or more compounds, characterised by presence of a nodal structure, which is a residue of polynucleophile obtained from methylglucoside, one or more (poly)glycerol groups with average degree of polymerisation from 3 to less than 11 and one or more hydrophobic functional groups, which are 8-heptadecenyl, where each of one or more said (poly)glycerol groups is bonded with said nodal structure through a binding group which is -O-, and each of one or more hydrophobic functional groups is independently bonded with said nodal structure through a binding group, which is a -C(O)O-, and average number of hydrophobic groups per primary binding group is 0.35 or more, furthermore, in one version, said thickener has an average index of hydrophilic properties of more than 0.4 to less than 0.9.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a wider range of thickeners, which can be used in cosmetic compositions.
