FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. Differential diagnosis of small and vegetative state of consciousness is performed. Wherein exploration stimulation is made according to method of navigation brain stimulation (NBS). Motor brain centers are detected and activated by verbal instructions to the patient to perform movement. If observing myographic response, registered from muscles, state of consciousness above vegetative is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables providing more reliable estimation of infringement of consciousness and recovery of patient's intelligence that is obtained by detecting the integrity of pyramidal tract and functional activity of cortical brain centers.
