SUBSTANCE: device for recording information onto multilayer recording medium contains an initialization means, which sets the block size to enclose a predetermined volume of information, and a recording means for further recording information on at least two information layers, so that the information is recorded alternately in at least two information layers. Recording means is designed for recording information in a block to enclose a predetermined volume of information onto the first layer of at least two above mentioned information layers, until the block is filled, and further recording of information in the next block to enclose a predetermined volume of information onto the second layer of at least two above mentioned information layers, differing from the first layer, until the next block is filled. Initiation means is designed for flexible setting a variable size of the block to enclose a predetermined volume of information, which is set depending upon the method used to transfer the information to be stored to the device, or upon the type of application transmitting the said information.
EFFECT: technical result is faster recording.
