FIELD: physics; computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method and device are disclosed for recording information onto a multilayer optical disc using multisession format. There is at least one transition between layers of the optical disc when recording data in one session.
EFFECT: use of several sessions allows for efficient use of disc memory space and faster completion.
