SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing elastomeric material with given elastic properties, for use in personal care articles. In particular embodiments, method comprises providing first and second nonwoven webs; providing a core layer of elastomeric material under tension; sandwiching core layer between first and second nonwoven webs; bonding core layer to at least one of first and second nonwoven webs; providing an elastomeric film ribbon web under tension; sandwiching elastomeric film ribbon web between first and second nonwoven webs; and fusing elastomeric film ribbon web to first and second nonwoven webs. In particular embodiments, elastomeric film ribbon, core layer or both are bonded to first and second nonwoven webs solely by fusing, without use of adhesive.
EFFECT: formation of elastomeric laminate, having given elastic properties, for use in personal care articles.
