FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to a material based on a 3D metal glass based on zirconium, and can be used for production of parts of micromachines and mechanisms with the requirements of high wear resistance and strength. Zirconium-based alloy for making 3D metal glass with a diameter of up to 5mm contains, wt%: Cu 20-25, Fe 5, Al 10, Sm 0.5-1, Zr - the rest. Method of producing under conditions of low vacuum a zirconium-based alloy for making 3D metal glass with a diameter of up to 5 mm is characterized by that the crucible is loaded with copper zirconium oxide, iron, aluminium, samarium and zirconium with the purity of 99.9 %, the crucible is placed in the induction furnace for providing melting at the residual pressure of 10-2-10-3 torr with subsequent pouring of the melt at the temperature of 1,100-1,200 °C into a copper casting under pressure of argon.
EFFECT: obtained is a zirconium-based alloy for making 3D metal glass with a diameter of up to 5 mm in conditions of low vacuum using non-inert crucibles from zirconium dioxide; the alloy is characterized by high values of strength and ductility.
