FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. Feature of the disclosed resonant microwave compressor is that the output device is made as a crossguide representing an orthogonal intersection of a circular waveguide and an oversized rectangular waveguide, the circular waveguide crosses the oversized rectangular waveguide in its wide walls, and each of the crossing waveguides at one end is short-circuited, and from the center of intersection to the short-circuiter the circular waveguide length is λ/4, and the rectangular waveguide length is λ/2, the open end of the circular waveguide is coaxially connected to the end of the circular waveguide with diameter D1 built in the resonator, and to the open end of the oversized rectangular waveguide a H-tee junction of identical rectangular waveguide with a half-wave short-circuited side arm is connected with its straight arm.
EFFECT: technical result is maintaining compactness of the microwave compressor, which forms almost rectangular pulses with the duration of 10-100 nsec.
