SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to separation device and method of separating stream of fluid medium in a separation device. Device for separation of fluid medium flow, consisting of at least two fluid media, different in density, comprises first tubular element, provided with a component, creating rotation in fluid flow behind input of first tubular element, and second tubular element, at least partially located inside first tubular element behind component, creating rotation, and forming an outlet for fluid media with lower density. First and second tubular elements form between inner surface of first tubular element and external surface of second tubular element annular gap, connected to first outlet section for fluid media with higher density. Second tubular element, at least on part of its length is equipped with through holes, passing through its wall and leading to second outlet section for fluid media with higher density, and first outlet section and second outlet section are connected to common container equipped with outlet for fluid media, with higher density. According to method for separation of flow of multiphase fluid in pipe fluid, rotates flow of fluid medium through component, creating rotation, that is installed behind input of first tubular element. At first stage of separation, method includes enabling fluid media, having higher density, to separate through preset distance from flow of fluid media with lower density. Further, separated fluid medium with lower density, is passed through second tubular element, at least partially located inside first tubular element, separating fluid media, having higher density into first outlet section, are removed through hole passing through wall of second tubular element, captured by a fluid medium, having higher density, from separated fluid media with lower density, and directing captured fluids, having higher density, into second outlet section.
EFFECT: technical result of group of inventions is high efficiency of separation with minimum pressure losses in fluid medium flowing through separator.
