FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, and can be applied to distraction osteogenesis of maxillofacial defects, either ones formed after removal of neoplasms and heavy injuries, or congenital defects. Distraction apparatus comprises bearing bar, fork, and installed thereupon drives for displacement of patient's jaw bone fragment from basal bone. Said means for bone fragment displacement are made in form of moving plate and activation pin placed in bar, and fixed plate rigidly fixed on fork. Each plate has holes for installation of fastening screws. Moving plate is connected to bar by means of carriages with possibility of longitudinal reciprocal motion in bar. Fork consists of two left and right parts with hemispherical surfaces, which are rigidly interconnected and form inner spherical surface in base of fork. Bar has ball-shaped base, movably connected to internal spherical surface of fork base, which provides rotational movement of rod about its axis. Fork is provided with locking screw for fixing bar with displacement means for bone fragment in multidimensional direction.

EFFECT: distraction apparatus provides higher-quality achievement of functional and aesthetic results of correction of congenital or acquired defects and deformities of lower jaw due to movement of bone fragment into multidimensional direction, namely in 4 various directions: forward (tongue-palate at 90°); backwards (vestibular-oral at 90°); to the left (at least 8°, maximum at 20°), and to the right (at least 8°, maximum at 20°), as well as independent change of distraction vector at any stage of process of new regenerated bone formation.
