FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for oil and gas separation in well production gathering. Gas-liquid separator comprises a vertical cylindrical housing, gas-liquid mixture supply and gas and fluid discharge pipelines. Housing is divided by tapered partition into inlet and knock-out chambers and equipped with an equalizing line which connects the separator housing with a gas discharge pipeline. Inlet chamber is equipped with drain pipes and concentrically installed knock-out chamber with a conical bottom part and discharge pipes, lower ends of which are located below the ends of intel chamber drain pipes and installed in hydro lock vessel in the lower part of the housing. There is a downwardly narrowing cone, upper edge of which is connected to a reticulate vessel, as well as annular reticulate partition and a screen between the housing and knock-out chamber, above gas-liquid mixture supply pipe nipple and below upper edge of the knock-out chamber. Gas-liquid mixture supply pipeline is installed in the housing to the reticulate vessel and a band spiral in the form of helical line for gas-liquid mixture swirling are made between the housing and reticulate vessel. Annular reticulate partitions with mesh cells size decreasing from top to bottom are installed between the reticulate vessel and knock-out chamber. Knock-out chamber is equipped with cups with holes in the bottom of each cup expanded from top to bottom and fixed on the inner wall ot the knock-out chamber within the gas discharge pipeline, the screen consisting of mutually directed towards each other cones expanding from bottom to top, and of a truncated cone converging from bottom to top is made inside the pipeline for gas discharging.

EFFECT: proposed gas-liquid separator increases efficiency of separation both at the first and second stages, and also increases reliability and quality of gas supplied to a gas discharge pipeline.
