FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel feed systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). According to the invention, a control system sets setters 33 and 34 of injected fuel doses corresponding to position powerset, set on ICE, and slide valve 14 for controlling working medium flow in the position, which provides supplying the working medium from accumulator 6 into one of piston 17 cavities. Piston 17 starts motion, is connected with plunger 25, and together arrive to an extreme point of motion. As a result, fuel dose corresponding to the power set on the ICE is injected into the ICE combustion chamber. Then the control system transfer slide valve 14 to position where working medium from accumulator 6 is fed into an opposite chamber of piston 17. Piston 17 starts motion in opposite direction, is connected with plunger 21, and together arrive to an extreme point of motion, as a result, fuel is injected to into the ICE combustion chamber.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of controlling a dose of fuel injected into ICE combustion chamber 2 using single-cycle drive of fuel injector with charging of accumulator 6 of drive with working medium energy of compressed air or fuel mix in ICE combustion chamber 2.
