FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of preventing or treating bacterial infections in pulmonary system. Method involves inhalation of an aerosolised dose of 150-250 mg/ml aqueous solution of tobramycin, where administration is performed using dispensing inhaler, providing formation of aerosol with mass median aerodynamic diameter of 4-7 mcm, where dispensing inhaler has a spraying nozzle providing formation of said aerosols by transfer of composition through holes with diameter of 1.8-3.9 mcm. Average maximum concentration in plasma is lower in comparison with level of equipment, which is an additional advantage since tobramycin in plasma causes undesirable side effects.
EFFECT: fast and efficient administration of tobramycin, improved dosing regimen.
