FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: two-stage heating of the product is carried out up to the austenitizing temperature, first to a temperature of Ac3-(10-20°C), held for 4/5 of the total holding time, and then to a temperature of Ac3+(30-150°C), held for 1/5 of the total holding time, followed by cooling in water. Next, gradual release at temperatures of 660-640-600°C, held at each temperature for 90 minutes and air cooling are carried out.
EFFECT: increased cold resistance and improved cutting performance of moulded articles of low carbon steel due to the formation of fine-grained ferrite-pearlite structure.
