FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with compression change mechanisms. Internal combustion engine control device (1) comprises mechanism (2) for compression changing, fuel feed termination device, fault detecting device and control device in case of failure. Mechanism (2) for compression changing is made with possibility of changing mechanical compression by changing mutual arrangement between piston (24) and cylinder (3). Fuel feed termination device is configured to perform fuel feed termination in predetermined decelerations state. Fault detector is configured to detect failure in mechanism (2) for compression changing. Control device in case of failure is configured to perform at least one of the first and second operations, while fuel feed termination is performed by fuel feed termination device in case of mechanism (2) for compression changing failure. First operation is setting lower negative pressure in cylinder (3) during intake stroke, than while fuel feed termination performing when mechanism (2) for compression changing is serviceable. Second operation is setting a higher positive pressure in cylinder (3) during compression stroke to expansion stroke, than while fuel feed termination performing when mechanism (2) for compression changing is serviceable. Invention discloses internal combustion engine operation control method.
EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of compression changing mechanism shift towards higher compression due to fuel feed termination in case of compression changing mechanism failure.
