FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the engine building. Engine (100) of the internal combustion contains turbocharger (101), made with the possibility of driving the exhaust gases to increase the pressure at the inlet. Variable valve timing mechanism is adapted to change the intake valve closing time. Mechanism for changing the compression ratio is made with the possibility of changing the mechanical compression ratio of engine (100) of internal combustion. Electronic control unit (31) is adapted to control the mechanism for changing the compression ratio so that the mechanical compression ratio becomes the target mechanical compression ratio, and controlling the variable valve timing mechanism so that the valve closing time becomes the target valve closing time. Besides electronic control unit (31) is designed with the possibility to approximate the target valve closing time to the bottom dead center of the intake stroke and reduce the target mechanical compression ratio compared with the steady state after the pressure at the inlet reaches the target pressure in the transient mode before, inlet pressure reaches the target pressure in case when the inlet pressure is increased by the turbocharger to the target pressure above the atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: technical result is to suppress the deterioration of fuel efficiency with a further reduction in the effect of the turbo lumps.
