FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the internal combustion engine control method. Disclosed is an electronic control unit for the internal combustion engine with the possibility of controlling over the fuel injection valve and such control over the spark plug, in which the fuel is burned by the combustion of a previously prepared mixture with compression ignition or by combustion from flame propagation. Electronic control unit also ensures performance of homogeneous combustion in the operating range with ignition from the flame, when no switching failure occurs, wherein the homogeneous combustion is a combustion in which a homogeneously distributed in the combustion chamber fuel is ignited using an ignition plug and burned by combustion from flame propagation.
EFFECT: technical result is in reducing of the non-standard combustion occurrence, when the valve performance switching mechanism fails.
