SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to providing clamping of wheeled vehicles at railway platforms. Method for self-clamping of wheeled and special equipment at railway platforms consists in placing one or several units of equipment on the platform, locking longitudinal chokes (5) of at least a part of the wheels (4), wherein the longitudinal chokes (5) are arranged so that their sharpened elements are located away from the wheels, along the longitudinal axis of the platform, and locking the longitudinal chokes with tension wires. Tension wires are elastic; each is passed through at least one longitudinal choke in the transverse direction of the choke and platform, the ends (13) of the tension wire are engaged with the edges of the platform floor, so that the parts of the tension wire, which are located between its ends and the choke, are located at an acute angle to the transverse axis of the platform towards the wheel; and the ends of the tension wire are clamped and the wire is tensioned. Transverse chokes are arranged near the wheels and connect each transverse choke is connected to a lengthwise choke that is by the wheel.
