FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-contact power supply. This technical result is achieved due to the device of non-contact power supply is provided with the second coil which transmits electric power to or receives electric power from the first coil contactless at least by means of magnetic coupling, multiple sensors for detecting position shifts between the first and the second coils, position detection device which detects mutual location of the first coil and the second coil based on sensors' outputs and a foreign object detecting device which compares sensors' outputs and detects foreign objects between the first and the second coils according to the results of these comparisons.
EFFECT: technical result is efficient detection of foreign objects, placed between the electric power transmitting coil and electric power receiving coil.
