SUBSTANCE: parking assistance method for assisting in alignment between coils when parking a vehicle in a parking area containing a coil for transmitting power. Method comprises steps of measuring first received voltage and assisting in alignment between coils by presenting to vehicle passenger the result of determining whether power may or may not be supplied based on potential difference and first received voltage. Previously obtained potential difference is the potential difference between the second received voltage of the receiving coil and the third received voltage of the receiving coil. Parking assistance device comprises a voltage sensor configured to measure a first received voltage generated in the receiving coil, and a control module configured to assist in matching between the coils by presenting to the passenger of the vehicle the result of determining whether or not power can be supplied.
