FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive winter tires. Pneumatic tire includes tread provided with two main crown grooves extending in lengthwise direction arranged on both sides of tire equator; inclined transverse grooves, each of which passes axially with tire outer side of each main crown groove to each edge of thread in direction opposite to rotation, with provision of shoulder blocks between main crown grooves and edges of tread and lamellas. Said inclined crosswise grooves have inclination angle from 45 to 85° relative to tire lengthwise direction. Each shoulder block comprises rear edge and front edge comes in contact with road later than rear edge in preset direction of tire rotation. Said rear edge has curvature radius of 150-250 mm. All lamellae on shoulder blocks end without connection with rear edges.
EFFECT: technical result is improved running characteristics of tire on snow-covered roads while maintaining stability of steering, drainage properties and running characteristics on icy roads.
