FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire extinguishing in ground reservoirs filled with combustible liquids. Under inflammable liquid ground storage tank below by level empty reservoir with volume exceeding volume of ground tank is coaxially installed under ground. At that, top level of underground reservoir filling with fluid must be below ground tank lower level of filling. Ground tank is connected with underground reservoir through the hole in bottom and drain branch pipe through automatic valve. Automatic valve is located on drain branch pipe lower end and inside the underground reservoir. In normal condition (when no fire) automatic valve is in closed position, isolating volumes of ground and underground reservoirs. In case of fire or excessive temperature increase in ground tank valve opens automatically and connects volumes of ground and underground reservoirs and fluid moves via drain branch pipe into underground reservoir. Valve operation is controlled by temperature sensor located on upper level of liquid.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to automate process of fire extinguishing in ground reservoir, increase operations efficiency due to reduced time for fire extinguishing.
