FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for separation of fractions with lower and higher-density of a fluid sample, in particular for sampling and transportation of samples of fluid medium. Device includes a separator in which is formed extending along axis a through channel configured to pass through fluid medium. Separator comprises a float having a first density, ballast, having a second density higher than first density. Part of float is connected with part of ballast. Separator has centre of mass and centre of volume shifted relative to centre of mass, or has centre of gravity shifted aside from axis of through channel, or has centre of volume, which is located inside through channel. Float forms upper outer surface of separator. Ballast forms lower outer surface of separator. Axis of through channel is located in plane extending at an angle relative to plane extending vertically from highest point of upper outer surface of float to lower point of lower outer surface of ballast and through centre of separator.
EFFECT: obtaining more qualitative sample due to improvement of its separation into phases.
