FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat and flow measurement, and enables to measure flow rates of electrically conducting fluid and heat carrier in pressure pipelines, mainly in apartments or other personal or service premises. In electromagnetic flow meter, comprising a housing, a measuring pipe, outer surface of which there is a magnetic system consisting of two magnetic field excitation coils with cores, arranged in tubular magnetic core, in cross section of measuring pipe at two opposite holes, in which there are two electrodes, in housing at equal distance relative to tubular magnetic conductor there is tubular screen made of ferromagnetic material; tubular screen can be multilayered.

EFFECT: elimination or minimisation of possibility of interference in metrological parameters of flow meter through effect of magnetic field.
