FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to instrument engineering, specifically to electromagnetic flow measurement and can be used for flow measurement in electrically conducting liquid pipelines characterised by complex kinematic flow pattern. Device contains pipe made of nonmagnetic and electrically nonconducting material, magnetic circuit, meter, power supply and sensitive element mounted on the pipe (SE), providing magnetic field excitation in pipe channel and measuring electric field induced in the channel by liquid flow interaction with magnetic field, power supply and meter. Each SE consists of opposite two inductance coils connected on external surface of pipe, and two opposite electrodes arranged in the channel by pipe diameter. The axis of electrodes, axis of coils and channel axis are mutually perpendicular and crossed in channel section centre point. Inductance coils are connected to power supply, while measuring electrodes are connected to meter. Both SE are mounted side by side on pipe, integrated in common magnetic circuit and mutually turned about channel axis at the angle 90 degrees.

EFFECT: higher flowmeter accuracy in flow measurement of complex kinematic flow pattern.
