FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: on the third day following an injury, suffered individual's blood is analysed to determine a total index of necrotic DNA-comets and DNA single- and double-strand breaks. If the total index is less than 29%, infectious complications are expected to develop on the day 5-7 following the injury.
EFFECT: invention enables the high-accuracy prediction of infectious complications that makes it possible to select an appropriate therapeutic approach and reduce the number of unfavourable outcomes.
