PREDICTION METHOD OF INFECTIOUS COMPLICATIONS IN LARGE JOINT REPLACEMENT Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2620047 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: in order to predict development of infectious complications after hip and knee joint replacement, risk factors for infectious complication development during postoperative period are determined individually in each patient during prehospital period. Registration and evaluation in points of body mass index, diabetes, associated systemic diseases, previous operations on the joint, patient's phyosical status by ASA system, allergy and ratio of segmentonuclear neutrophils and monocytes are performed. Risk degree of infectious complications is determined by amount of points characterizing risk degree of infectious complications.

EFFECT: method enables to predict possible development of infectious process quite simply and objectively during prehospital period, which ensures timely performance of necessary therapeutic and preventive measures to reduce the risk of complications and reduce economic costs.
