FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aero-mechanical measurements and can be used in device of strain-gauge balances used for determining components of vectors of aerodynamic force and moment, acting on aircraft models in a wind tunnel. Disclosed strain-gauge balances comprise force input and force output elements for installation of tested model and attachment of strain-gauge balances in working part of wind tunnel, five-component measuring element of transverse forces, bending and torsional moments, consisting of longitudinal beams with resistance strain gauges installed thereon, and measuring element and longitudinal force consisting of movable and fixed bases, separated by vertical slots and skew cut with decrease of root to peripheral size of cross sections of both bases, interconnected by stacks of transversely located elastic hinges and sensitive elements with resistance strain gauges installed thereon. Movable and fixed bases of measuring element of longitudinal force are made in form of plugs of opposite direction, each of which consists of cylindrical support element and two or more longitudinal beams, symmetrical relative to longitudinal axis, with cross section in form of sectors of circle, formed in housing of measuring element of cylindrical shape by shaped inclined longitudinal recesses and vertical transverse grooves, wherein stacks of flexible hinges are arc-shaped and arranged in grooves formed in longitudinal beams of bases about their root sections, and sensitive elements are installed in grooves formed along edges in middle part of longitudinal beams of movable and fixed bases and are made in form of rectangular frames with longitudinal elastic plates and rigid links on ends, fixed in middle part to said longitudinal beams by means of transverse cylindrical rib, formed on surfaces of grooves. Ends of longitudinal beams of each of plugs of movable and fixed bases are connected by circular webs.
EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy of measuring longitudinal forces.
