FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for melting and casting metallic materials. Device comprises melting hearth, refining hearth fluidly communicating with the melting hearth, receiving receptacle fluidly communicating with the refining hearth, including a first metallic material outflow region in the first position in the receiving receptacle and the second metallic material outflow region in the second position in the receiving receptacle, and at least one melting power source selected from a group consisting of electron beam gun and plasma generator; wherein the receiving receptacle also contains the first molten material flow passage, which is determined in the first position, if at least one melting power source is configured and is used to direct energy in first outflow region, thus providing flow of molten material into the first outflow region, and the second molten material flow passage, which is determined in the second position, if at least one melting power source is configured and is used to direct energy to the second outflow region, providing outflow of molten material into the second outflow region. Also disclosed are methods for casting metallic material.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain workpieces from titanium alloys and other metals, as well as reduce or eliminate the manifestation of inclusions in ingots.
