SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for melting and casting metal. System (10) contains smelting hearth (40), purifying hearth (42) and an energy source. Said purifying hearth with an inlet and at least one outlet contains one or more side walls forming a cavity. Said cavity is made tapering from the inlet to the outlet. Further, the throughput capacity of the outlet or the total throughput of all the outlets may be less or equal to the throughput capacity of the inlet.
EFFECT: uniform cast alloy is obtained by eliminating stagnant zones in the hearth of the casting system.
