FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for washing loose materials and can be used in construction, food and other industries. Machine for washing tuberous roots consists of a loading and an unloading trays, a bath with liquid and a driving perforated drum installed in it. Perforated drum is composed of sections assembled of two identical subsections made of an even number (at least four) of identical isosceles triangles alternatively connected along the perimeter of the subsections with four identical perforated equilateral triangles with formation of a small and a large end holes in the form of polygons. Two subsections are connected to a section with sides of large end openings. Sections are joined to each other along the length of the perforated drum with their sides of small end holes to make a multistart screw perforated surface with directed towards each other broken screw lines. Inside the perforated drum there is a cone-shaped spring with round section of turns, which has a device to vary the turn pitch by its stretching or compression. Slope of the cone-shaped spring is opposite to tuberous roots direction of movement from loading to unloading.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher quality of product washing.
