FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of nonferrous metals and can be used for extraction of lead from multicomponent aqueous solutions of salts of non-ferrous metals and iron during hydrometallurgical processing of nickel raw material. Chloride solution with concentration 5.5-8.0 mol/l of chlorine and 110-190 g/l nickel is treated with an organic extractant in form of a mixture containing 10-30 vol% dithiophosphinic acid - Cyanex-301 and 10-30 vol% tertiary amine, balance - inert diluent, with transfer of lead into organic phase. Tertiary amine used is trialkylamine, trioctylamine or triisooctylamine, inert diluent used is Exide-100 or Shellsol D-40. Extraction is carried out at O:A=1:5-10 in 1-3 steps for 0.5-3 minutes. Obtained extract is washed in a single step with solution of sulphuric or hydrochloric acid with concentration of 0.1-1.0 mol/l. Method then comprises re-extraction of lead with 5-8 M hydrochloric acid at O:A=1:5-10 in 1-2 stages for 5-10 minutes. Method provides high (up to 99.6 %) degree of extraction of lead (II) into re-extract with fewer operations and shorter duration.
EFFECT: high degree of extraction of lead (II).
