FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, orthopaedics, and concerns determination of the parameters of surgical correction of the shape of the long bone. To estimate the degree of deformation of the tubular bone with determination of the value and level of surgical deformity correction preoperational radiography of the extremity in two projections - frontal and sagittal is performed. X-rays are used to measure geometrical parameters of the bone, record the measurement results and compare the measurement results with average values for normal bone, then level and value of correction are established. When recording the measurement results schematic image of the tubular bone is made, it reflects the presence, value, shape of deformations of the bone, as well as the position of the articular surfaces relative to the anatomical axis of the bone for each projection. For this purpose the x-rays are used to locate the biomechanical axis of tubular bone as a line passing through geometric centers of joints adjacent to the bone; it is drawn as a straight section which length is equal to the length of the area between the geometric centers of these joints. Length and shape of the anatomical axis which passes through geometric centers of the cross sections of the bone are determined - points corresponding to the deformation apexes of the bone. It is depicted as a broken line obtained by connecting these points. Initial and final points of the broken line and straight line representing the biomechanical axis of the bone are aligned. Shortest distance between the points is measured, the points corresponding to the apexes of the deformation of the bone, to the straight section and its value is recorded. Distance from the initial point of the straight section to the perpendiculars to it, drawn from the points corresponding to the apexes of the deformation, and its value recorded. Line corresponding to the median of the joint space in this projection is drawn between the initial and final points. Angles between these lines and the straight section, depicting the biomechanical axis, are measured and recorded.
EFFECT: method provides accuracy of determining the values describing the degree of bone deformation, points of its location to plan of surgical intervention, as well as control of its results.
