METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF FOETAL CONDITION IN PROLONGED PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2600427 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to obstetrics, and can be used for prediction of unfavourable perinatal complications in childbearing in prolonged pregnancy. Method comprises ultrasonic diagnosis. Size of the skull free space is being measured in a parasagittal plane in a parietal region by determining the distance from convexital surface of the brain cortex to inner surface of the parietal bone. Measurements are being carried out by means of a transvaginal C8-4V sensor of a Philips HD11 XE apparatus. If the size of skull free space is 0.130 cm or less, developing of hypoxic-ischemic disorders of a foetal is being diagnosed. If the size of skull free space is more than 0.130 cm, developing of hypoxic-ischemic disorders of a foetal is not being diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables providing more objective prediction of foetal condition in prolonged pregnancy due to determining skull free space, when mechanical compression of the cerebral tissue by bones is reduced to zero.
