FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for simulation of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in rats 4.25 g of melted beef fat and 0.43 g of powdered cholesterol per 100 g of body weight were administered to animals daily during 6 months with food. The method provides an adequate reproduction of the model.
EFFECT: proposed model is simple in execution, shows good reproducibility, lack of death in experimental animals and complexity in forming dismetabolic violations in liver and body as a whole typical for this disease.
