FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely allergology and immunology, to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for personalized selection of genetically engineered biological therapy in treating chronic inflammatory diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses. If there are indications for the targeted therapy, the patient is diagnosed with chronic rhinosinusitis with or without polyps, the total eosinophil count in GBT; an allergic anamnesis is examined and allergological tests are performed. Then phenotype of chronic inflammatory diseases is determined. Allergic phenotype: absence of chronic rhinosinusitis, presence of eosinophils in GBT, positive allergic history and allergological tests. Mixed phenotype: the presence of chronic rhinosinusitis with or without polyps, the number of eosinophils in the GBT ≥ 250 cells/mcl, positive allergic anamnesis and allergological tests. Esinophilic phenotype: the presence of chronic rhinosinusitis with or without polyps, the number of eosinophils in the GBT ≥ 250 cells/mcl, negative allergic anamnesis and allergological tests.
EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy and simplified detection of phenotypes of chronic inflammatory diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses for personalized selection of genetically engineered biological therapy in presence of indications for targeted therapy.
