FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used for treating patients with purulent rhinosinusites with concomitant type 2 diabetes mellitus. The method includes additional prescription of therapy with sodium deoxyribonucleate (derinate) at a dose of 6 mg intramuscularly according to the following regimen: 5 injections every other day, then 5 injections 2 times a week, to patients with rhinosinusitis accompanied by type 2 diabetes mellitus.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for a reduction in the duration of treatment, a more stable and prolonged remission, a decrease in the blood sugar levels and the risk of developing complications of the disease.
