FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to container (100) for consumer goods. Said container has lid (104) that is configured to pivot around a hinge line extending across a back wall of the said container, between closed and open positions. Above container also includes box (102) with opening, containing at least one slit (108), wherein one or each slit is arranged at respective ends of the front wall of the box, extending from the opening. Lid (104) is mounted on box (102) so, that it coincides with the opening of the box, as a result, in its closed position the lid engages with at least one slit (108) of the box to retain the lid in the closed position.
EFFECT: invention also extends to providing a single laminar blank for forming the aforementioned container.
