SUBSTANCE: container 110 for cigarettes comprises box 112 comprising front wall 114, rear wall 116, lower wall 122, opposite side walls 118, 118' and upper wall 120 having opening 124 for access to cigarettes 146 inside the container, wherein said opening extends across the top wall from its front edge and the periphery of the access opening is spaced from rear edge 132 and the side edges of the top wall such that the top wall extends around rear 126 and lateral 128, 128' sides of the opening. Closing valve 130 extends from the rear wall of the container and is movable between a closed position in which the valve closes the opening and an open position in which said opening is not open. Disclosed is a blank for such container.

EFFECT: disclosed is container containing access hole with closing valve.
