FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to mortar. Mortar for external insulation finishing systems (EIFS), intended for application at high temperatures, characterised by extended storage life after mixing components with high water-retaining capacity, contains cement, filler/aggregate, a blend of methylhydroxyethylcellulose and hydroxyethylcellulose sufficient amount of water in order to provide corresponding consistency of the mortar, where the amount of a blend of methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxyethylcellulose ranges from approximately 0.1 wt % to approximately 1 wt % on a dry basis of mortar based on EIFS, wherein ratio of methylhydroxyethylcellulose to hydroxyethylcellulose in the blend is in the range of 10:90 to 90:10 by weight.

EFFECT: technical result is prolonged pot life after mixing of components, water-retaining capacity and open time of mortar, providing high tensile strength values used in that mortar.
