FIELD: materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing materials for wear and can be used in assessing wear resistance of a sample from any material affected by abrasive particles. Core: a sample end is wore at a progressive motion with rotation around its axis relative to a normally located abrasive surface. Ensured is a condition, at which the path passed by the sample at the progressive motion does not exceed the length of its circumference, and the sample rpm is set equal to 500 min-1.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of increasing maximum load on a sample without destruction of the base skin (paper, cloth), which also promotes a faster testing process.
