FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgical methods of processing solutions containing non-ferrous metals, by settling hydrates of non-ferrous metals by means of a magnesium-containing precipitator. In compliance with the method before using the magnesium-containing precipitator is to preliminary processed by carbonization. Preliminary processing consists in blowing water pulp of the magnesium-containing precipitator with carbon dioxide at pressure of 0.1-0.5 MPa at temperature not more than 20-25 °C for 10-30 minutes. After termination of blowing with carbon dioxide the pulp is filtered, and the filtrate containing magnesium bicarbonate, is directed to settling hydrates of non-ferrous metals from solutions. Optimum consumption of bicarbonate solution is selected on the basis of transferring 70-90 % of non-ferrous metals from solutions into hydrates non-ferrous metals, formed during settling.

EFFECT: reduced residual content of magnesium in a sludge.
