FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to press equipment, wherein pressure to plunger or plate is transferred by an electric drive with pulse electromagnetic motor. Electromagnetic press comprises a bed, power supply unit, control device and linear electromagnetic motor. Engine comprises cylindrical stator with excitation winding, combined armature with a flat disc part, guide housing, return spring, arranged with preload. For retaining combined armature there is a device in form of cylindrical electromagnet with magnetic core, winding and external pulled anchor, role of which is performed by flat disc part of combined armature. Excitation winding and holding winding are connected in series and are shunted by a diode.
EFFECT: increased average traction force of electromagnetic motor, higher conversion coefficient of electric energy consumed by press into mechanical energy.
